THE ABLITT TOWER
Built on a 20x20 foot lot in downtown Santa Barbara by Dan Upton Construction, with a continuous curving four-story stair railing by artist David Moseley that begins at the first floor entrance and continues to the roof deck. The client’s only requests were that there be places for wine and books, and that the stove be blue. The evolution of the project is kind of a wild story that you can find in in Jeff’s book, The Fig District.
